MASS COMMUNICATION MEDIA AS AN INSTRUMENT OF STATE POWER LEGITIMATION
Summary. The article discusses features of the conceptual foundations of the political and legal analysis of the communication media as a means of legitimizing state power in the modern Ukrainian society. It is shown that modern power tools require new conceptual designs, concepts, allowing to understand the need to use those or other methods of constructing a political reality and political processes with the help of the communication media.

USING OF INTERNET BY EXTREMISTS: LEGAL ISSUES OF DETECTION AND COUNTERACTION IN UKRAINE
Summary. The article deals with the problem of use of the Internet by extremists for propaganda of their activities in Ukraine. Attention is drawn to the insufficiency of national legal regulation of information activities in a virtual environment that prevents timely detection and neutralization of extremist activity. After analyzing the experience of foreign countries in this area, author made suggestions and recommendations for improving Ukrainian legislation, functioning of public authorities and civil society.
